A dollar a month.
KARA runs on small, steady gifts: 10,000 people giving $1 a month funds independent child-protection reporting, the state-by-state record, and the toolkits, with no tracking and no data sold.

A real person answers
Questions about giving go straight to KARA’s founder and executive director: mike@invisiblechildren.org.
A named, working board
Greg Christian, Jim Earley, Al Innamorato, Lawrence King, and Damon Kocina. Mike Tikkanen is President and Executive Director.
Backed by real partners
Highland Bank, Edina Federated Women’s Foundation, Auction Masters, and in-kind partners including Google, Riipen, and AWS.
Other ways to give
Not everything arrives by card. These three come up most, and KARA is set up for all of them.
Gifts of stock
KARA can receive appreciated securities directly, and is already set up to do it. Giving stock rather than the cash from selling it is what most people are asking about when they call; what that is worth in your case is a question for your own advisor. Write to us and we will send the transfer details.
A gift in your will or trust
A bequest costs nothing now and can be a line in a will you are already writing. Your attorney needs KARA’s legal name, address and EIN, all three of which are below.
Beneficiary designations
A retirement account, donor-advised fund or life insurance policy can name KARA as a beneficiary without going through a will at all. It is usually a form from the account provider.
