How to reach Kids At Risk Action: email, postal address, and where to send press, speaking, volunteering, corrections, and donation questions. If a child is in danger, call 911.

One inbox. People read it, not a ticket queue. Here is what to send where, and what to expect back.

If a child is in danger, do not email

Email is the slowest way to reach us and nobody watches it overnight. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911. To report abuse, or to talk it through with a counselor first, the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline is 1‑800‑422‑4453, free and confidential, 24 hours a day. If you are not sure whether what you saw is reportable, the reporting walkthrough was written for that moment.

Reach KARA

Email. info@invisiblechildren.org is the general inbox and the right one if you are unsure. Most email gets an answer within a few business days. KARA is small and runs largely on volunteers, so a slow reply is capacity, not disinterest.

Post. KARA / Kids At Risk Action, 910 First Street So #4091, Hopkins, MN 55343. Checks come here. Mailed gifts are a real share of what pays for this work.

What to send where

All of it lands in the same inbox. Say which one you are in the subject line and you get to the right person faster.

  • Speaking, campuses, and training. Invite KARA to a class, a conference, a community group. Say the audience and the date you are working toward.
  • Volunteering. The open roles and what they ask of you are on the volunteer page. Write once you know which one fits.
  • Press. Say your outlet and your deadline in the first line.
  • Corrections. If something in the reporting or a toolkit is wrong, say which page and what is wrong with it. We would rather fix it than defend it.
  • Donations and receipts. Questions about a gift, a receipt, or a monthly plan. KARA is a 501(c)(3), EIN 51-0570258.
  • Research and data. The full record, including methodology, is published at KARA SIGNAL. Write if what you need is not there.

What we do with your message

We use what you send to answer you. Nothing else. Your address does not go on the email list unless you ask for it. We do not sell or share reader data, which is the promise at the bottom of every page here. The privacy policy is the long version.

Before you go

The Friday post is free, it is short, and it has gone out every Friday for years. Read one and you will know in two minutes whether this work is worth your attention. Forward it to your state representative and it does more than that.
