Minnesota’s new Supreme Court Council on Child Protection and Abuse Prevention

Thank you Safe Passages for Children of MN for helping drive the creation of this group during the last legislative session! From the Safe Passage Article:

Minnesota has a new Supreme Court Council on Child Protection and Maltreatment Prevention.

Safe Passage advocated for the creation of this group during the last legislative session. It is tasked with developing “a comprehensive blueprint for improvement that addresses all aspects of the child protection system, including prevention and early intervention.”

Chief Justice Ann McKeig oversees this council – and Safe Passage had the opportunity to meet with her over the summer. She was also recently interviewed by MPR and The Imprint.

Every state needs a strong Council on Child Protection and Abuse Prevention.
