Growing KARA's International Child Abuse Hub To Amplify Children's Voices Worldwide

KARA’s is launching a new International Child Abuse section that spotlights the urgent reality that abuse knows no borders, affecting more than half of all children globally each year through physical punishment, emotional harm, and sexual abuse (WHO). By bringing together critical data – IHME, PAHO, and resources from around the world, this section aims to educate, inspire action, and support the millions of children who suffer in silence, ensuring that KARA’s advocacy extends beyond Minnesota to every child who needs a champion.

Childhood trauma knows no borders, and that effective solutions already exist in communities around the world. Built with leadership from KARA volunteer Eshanee Singh and student interns from colleges across the globe, this evolving resource is designed to educate, inspire action, and help advocates, educators, and policymakers strengthen protections for children in every nation.
